The shining star of Istanbul

Pendik is the door of Istanbul, the eye of the world, opening to Anatolia. The previous resort county is today's bright star, with its sea, forest, active commercial life and basin. Pendik, which is on the air, land, sea and rail system axles is a county where people are living in peace, rich in active green areas, attracting with its natural beauties and where half a million persons call it my city. Pendik also has a social structure which includes all the colors of the city mosaics.
Our persons coming to Pendik from various sites of Turkey are here living in peace and as if they were knitting the patterns of all the cultures in peace like a carpet. Pendik, being one of the fastest growing and developing counties of Istanbul, makes its name heard in larger geographies day by day. Thanks to the development of industry in the county the exportation volume has grown and small enterprises became into a trend of growing themselves. Pendik, thanks to the commercial areas it has, is almost an open air shopping center, where the Anatolian side accepts for doing all of its shopping. The county has become one of the significance culture and art centers of Istanbul thanks to the seminars, conferences and festivals issued by the Municipality, other public organizations and non-governmental organizations. The name Pendik has taken its place among the international cultural events. Today, Pendik has turned its face to future, and it is county aiming at continuous local development, durable higher standards of life, in peace with itself and the city, reference of the culture of latitude, in peace, planned and regular, and enjoyable with all its green areas. The century which we live is the century where not the competition of the countries are seen, bu the competition of the cities and the counties are enjoyed. It is our sole aim and effort for Pendik to be in the fronts in this competition. This work, which puts Pendik under protection in many aspects aims at Pendik to be known both in local and global scale.
